Our Plain English Shipping Policy

Chocolate is a delicate product, especially artisan-made, preservative-free chocolate. We make every effort to ship with the appropriate packaging materials, and we do so following strict industry guidelines and best practices.

We monitor weather and carrier routes in real-time and will ship your box with the necessary items to ensure that your chocolates arrive in perfect condition. You might see that your package arrived with crush-proof pads, perishable and fragile stickers on the outside, insulated shipping boxes and/or cold packs, especially during the summer months. Please discard those items accordingly and recycle them when possible. We do not use dry ice.  

We only ship within the continental US, and we cannot ship to PO Boxes; therefore, a complete shipping address with street, suite/apt is required to ensure that the package arrives at its final destination in minimal time.

It is important that you track your package and take it inside as soon as it is delivered to prevent melting by being exposed to the heat outside.

All orders placed before 2:00 PM Central US time on business days will be processed for shipping that same day. Orders placed after that time will be shipped the next business day. 

We only ship Monday through Thursday. This is to prevent packages from sitting in the shipping carrier's warehouses over the weekend, as they don't operate on Saturdays or Sundays.

Orders placed on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays run the risk of sitting in a shipping carrier's warehouse over the weekend. If that is the case, your package will be shipped on the following Monday. Again, this is to prevent melting.

As you go through the checkout process, you will notice that this website estimates the delivery day based on several conditions, including weather, distance, speed of service, and shipping carrier's backlog. In some cases, this estimate is not 100% accurate due to several unforeseen factors. As a result, packages might arrive before or after the estimated date. 

Our packages do not require a signature.

If the address provided by the client is wrong or the recipient is no longer at the location provided, the box will be returned to us. We will not be responsible for these returns, and we are unable to issue refunds. We reserve the right to bill you the carrier-imposed $25 return fee.

Other considerations:

It is always best to plan ahead and coordinate with the recipient if you are gifting our products to someone. Please make sure that the recipient knows that perishable goods are on their way. 

Unfortunately, we are not able to offer refunds on shipping delays due to weather, mechanical failures, or circumstances beyond our control.

We are not responsible for packages stolen or damaged after they have been delivered to the address specified by the customer.
